If I want to add 1 1/6 + 2/3: I will need the yellow hexagon for 1, a green triangle for 1/6, and 2 blue rhombuses [Ask Dr. Math said that was the plural] for 2/3. Combine the blocks so that the fractional parts in the answer are all of one color and you will have the answer in lowest terms! [Answer: 1 yellow hexagon and 5 green triangles = 1 5/6]
